Freeride Film Festival Special PURE

Freeride Film Festival Special: PURE by Sandra Lahnsteiner, Shades of Winter

Freeride Film Festival Special: PURE by Sandra Lahnsteiner, Shades of Winter

falling snowflakes, flying soap bubbles, orangey glowing peaks, masses of snow spraying out of the way, darkness mixed with light. it’s the various little details that enrich PURE and play well with the eye-catching riding of freeriders, park queens and a snowmobile pilot.

fluid steep skiing at the Fletschhorn and in AK. powder snorkeling in Japan. Nine Queens in Italy. these are some of the highlights of the second movie from the Shades of Winter series by Sandra Lahnsteiner.

the movie was shown yesterday at the Freeride Film Festival Special at the Stadtkino in Vienna. before the movie started, Sandra was interviewed by Hannes Kropik from Sportmagazin. she talked about the huge amount of work that was needed to make the movie and also let us in on the secret that there will be another Shades of Winter movie in 2016.
after the interview, the audience had a chance to win a Garmin helmet cam and a pair of Fischer freeride skis. to win, you needed to beat Sandra at Rock-Paper-Scissors.

then it was time for the movie, which passed by much too fast and left us with an itching in our feet and hearts for pow, sweet pow!
see more freeride movies today at the Freeride Film Festival at the Gartenbaukino in Vienna!
