“Die Freireiter”, Andreas Prielmaier and Thomas Mayer, met up with Sonnia Höffken, who is an avid yogini and freerider, in La Grave. The guys were skeptical at first, but after sharing some incredible runs with Sonnia (SkiYo – feel the flow! ®), they found the positive effects of yoga for skiers intriguing.

A Winter’s Tale

german snowboarder Nicola Thost played a big role in developing womens freestyle snowboarding. she won the halfpipe contest at the olympics in 1998 and didn’t stop winning contests after that.

in 2010, she decided to quit riding halfpipe contests. in the same year, she started an initiative called Sprungbrett to help kids and teenagers to pursue their dream of becoming pro snowboarders.

come the winter of 2014/2015, Nicola got the chance to try her hand at freeride contests. she scored a wildcard for one event of the Freeride World Tour and made her way to the finals in Verbier.
with a mix of freestyle tricks and high-speed, fluid riding, she was even able to win the legendary event in Verbier.

congrats Nicola, you keep inspiring us!
